Saul McCartney's Magical Holiday Season (AKKCXIV)

by Kristian Noel Pedersen

/
1.
Everything will be alright on Christmas Day I heard them say The bells ringing in Brixton Square "Do you have some cash to spare?" There's Christmas in the air "Just another ordinary Christmas day" I heard them say Just like nothing ever really happened anyway I hope it stays that way
2.
3.
A sordid sight to see while in Oxford street A mean old man just stole five pence from a man who couldn't see "You shan't be shilling out here anyways" As the snow fell from the trees Its just an ordinary Christmas day A sudden sight to see near Trafalgar Square I turn around, to my surprise, I see that you are standing there Can't find anything of worth to say I mutter to myself It's just an ordinary Christmas day Charming sight to see while near St. James Park You followed closely down the stairs, and sat down in my subway car "I don't have anywhere to spend the night" A minor inconvenience, but that should be alright She said, "I hope it snows tonight and then I'll stay" That's all suffice to say, Its just an ordinary Christmas day

Every year its the same old tree But these simple things mean nothing to me Lets not cut them down, theres a better way Making limited edition JPEG's Its time we had a new tradition Highly limited edition Real life is not for me I need an NFT Christmas tree

I hope it snows tonight We'd stay inside by the Christmas lights I can't face the fact that I may not be all that you're searching for But tonight I'm so glad that at least you found your way inside my door Baby its Christmas Eve Oh what a sight to see Presents under the tree Can't wait 'till the morning light What a sight to see So glad you're here with me What a view Underneath the Christmas lights with you I do, I do, Underneath the Christmas lights with you The holidays, they mean so much to me Time stands still, as we sit around the Christmas tree And I can't face the fact that I may not be all that you're searching for But tonight I'm so glad that at least you found your way inside my door Baby its Christmas Eve Oh what a sight to see Presents under the tree Can't wait 'till the morning light What a sight to see So glad you're here with me What a view Underneath the Christmas lights with you I do, I do, Underneath the Christmas lights with you Saul: "The holidays a time for family and friends to come together and I'm so happy that you're spending them with me I hope you find warmth in the cold weather Bundled up beside the Christmas tree" "I hope you have your loved ones, and good health Whether they're here, or somewhere else Most importantly, I hope you have a wonderful holiday season Merry Christmas, From your good friend, Saul" Baby its Christmas Eve Oh what a sight to see Presents under the tree Can't wait 'till the morning light What a sight to see So glad you're here with me What a view Underneath the Christmas lights with you I do, I do, Underneath the Christmas lights with you

Its been a long year Since you packed up your whole life in the city and visited here We used to play outside all afternoon and stay out in the cold But now we're too old You'd never stay for long You'd come up north just to visit your family, and then you'd be gone We used to meet up for drinks, 'till that one time we kissed And now all I see is a pic from your visit You're someone I miss I wish I could burrow my head in your coat just to hide from the storm as we sit side by side with mulled cider and wine to keep warm When its just you and I basking in the snow of our Christmas lights I wish just once you'd choose to miss your flight I hope it snows tonight
9.
Oh the traffics slow Feels like many miles to go Its Christmas Eve, And you're not with me All the gifts are stowed Hot drinks and a song we know Is all we need for now On the roadway out of town And when the traffics slow Turn on the radio And just keep driving home for Christmas So festive indeed That red tail lights are all we see We're hardly out of town, when the snow starts falling down Passing Scarborough, All the nearby trees aglow when we played Low And it finally feels like Christmas And when the traffics slow Turn on the radio And just keep driving home for Christmas It was just like Christmas It was just like Christmas
10.
11.
Every December we go into the downtown stores and we're hoping that it snows tonight Under the lighting we stare Into the winter air See the snow come down, reflecting light And I want nothing more to say that I miss you more and more each day And I want nothing more to say Than hello and happy holidays

about

On his 14th original Christmas album, Saul McCartney’s Magical Holiday Season, Kristian Noel Pedersen shifts his perspective to imagine a Christmas-themed concept album through the eyes of
Saul McCartney, an alternate-universe pop star from the late ‘60s, who is boldly venturing out to fashion a new solo career.

The 12-track concept album is a psychedelic time trip through the past four decades of pop
music, from early electro-pop, through 80s Britpop, all the way to modern, rootsy indie-rock.
